Renee Orr has served for over 30 years in various roles within the Department of the Interior. She joined the ranks of the Department of Interior’s Senior Executive Service in 2011 as the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s Chief of the Office of Strategic Resources. In that position, she manages the development and implementation of the National Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Oil and Gas Leasing Program, the conveyance of marine minerals for beach renourishment and coastal restoration projects, the assessment and inventory of oil, gas, and other mineral resources on the OCS, development of fiscal terms and economic evaluations to ensure the receipt of fair market value for the use of OCS resources, comprehensive mapping and boundary efforts, and the identification and mitigation of financial risks associated with OCS oil and gas activities. Ms. Orr holds a B.A. in Economics and History from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado.
